Cheap discs and break pads for Nissan 350z Japanese import?

Posted by Allen

I have a Japanese Import Nissan 350z, and need to replace the front break pads and discs, plus the rear break pads. Have managed to track down some cheap break pads, but the price of the discs seems ridiculous. Does anybody know of anywhere I can get hold of the front discs for a reasonable price.

Many thanks

there are other parts that i would scrimp on like, new mp3 players, spoilers or even bucket seats. i would never ever buy cheap BRAKES, your life will depend on it for godsakes man!

I would not get cheap pad or rotors trust me I did this with my car and they lasted me less then 6 months the rotors cracked and the pads got crystallized. So if you want to end up paying double and skimping out on your own safety then go for it. I would say get some power slot rotors and some nice semi metallic pads you can find both of these items at a reasonable price just google it. Well hope this helps

We own Toyotas and over the years, and I find best reliability when purchasing genuine dealer parts like brake pads by surfing the internet as I have at least 2 Toyotas dealers in Texas that sell genuine Toyota parts at 30% of MSRP.

Locally when time is of the essence, the biggest discount is only 15% that I can get from local Toyota dealers with time sensitive dealer coupons that come infrequently in the mail.

I can't speak for Nissan, but FYI there are several Toyota dealers selling with EBAY IDs however genuine Nissan brake pads might be rare. In that case, I normally stick with NAPA auto parts or if buying from auto part warehouses, the name BENDIX in absestos semimetallic brake pads has been around along time. Another good website I like to use when I need a particular auto part in attempting to narrow my choice in terms of quality for the best price without picking up the telephone is ADVANCE AUTO PARTS.

Hope the Above Info Helps and Best of Luck!

Yeah, I agree, buy quality parts. There's a reason the 350Z used Brembo brakes….they needed them!!!
