Lille or Belgium on Eurostar?
Posted by Allen
Hi there, i am hoping to plan a romantic break for my husband and self for the Autumn and was wanting to go on Eurostar to either Lille or maybe Begium.
Any suggestions?
Come to Belgium! Lot’s to see and lots to do!
Brugge is definitely a beautiful city if the sun is shining… (always a problem her in Belgium) but Gent is very nice to…
It depends really on what you are looking for…
You take the train to Brussels-South and right there you can change to an other train. Almost every major city is reachable without one hour and a half…
I included the link to the Belgian railways (nmbs) so you can look how long a train takes…and also take a look at the B-excursions…
What are the top ten fun items to bring to Paris?
Posted by Allen
My friend is traveling to Paris over spring break and before she leaves I want to make her a little survival kit of sorts of “things you should have when in paris.” For example, When traveling in paris it is important to have the classic little black dress; a disposable camera; etc…
Any ideas?
You definitly want to have:
1. A metro map. The metro is super easy to use, but just in case
2. A phrase/book dictionary. The French will be much more willing to help you if you just TRY to speak French.
3. A camera! Paris is amazing. Don’t go without one!
4. An open mind. You will have so much more fun if you are open to new ideas and expiriences.
5. A cork screw. Trust me on this one….
6. A two way radio(if you don’t switch over your cell phone). Switching your phone can get soo expensive. This is a good way to stay in touch in an emergeny!
7. An appetite! Food Food Food. You will eat. A lot.
8. A nice outfit. For any formal dinners or clubbing!
9. A Visa card. The exchange is better and EVERYONE accepts Visa.
10. Did I mention the cork screw?
How should one go about starting a career in music or theatre?
Posted by Allen
I am thinking about possibly taking a break from college to try and start a career in music or theatre. I am clueless as to where I should start. Any suggestions are appreciated.
you need to send your head shots to casting agencies and most of those are going to be in Cali. also becareful there are a lot of scam casting agencies too. they will charge you about $500 to take your head shots and you will never hear from them again.
you will need to look subscribe to entertainment industry magazines like Variety and look for open audition calls. once in a while like very couple years or so there might be one in hawaii. if you are serious about going in the acting entertainment business when you are old enough you may want to consider moving to California so you can be closer to more auditions.
start taking theater classes you will need all the expirence you can get. if you are really serious check with you parents you might be able to find acting camps that would help you make important contacts
